Mim Chapman Ph.D.

Mim Chapman, Ph.D., is the author of What does Polyamory Look Like?, a new book about the forms of poly diversity. She is a relationship coach, keynote speaker, educator, and change agent, and has been entertaining and mentoring people for more years than she chooses to admit.  She is a certified Myers-Briggs trainer and has led workshops in various aspects of diversity, learning styles, multiple intelligences, collaboration, anti-harassment, sexuality, and the change process for conferences, schools and businesses. She was Alaska’s “Curriculum Leader of the Year,” Toastmaster’s “Communicator of the Year,” and the YWCA/British Petroleum “Woman of Achievement.”  Her current creative passion is her sex education performance-art piece, “The VP (vagina-penis) Dialogues,” which has been performed in a variety of venues.

Amy Jo Goddard

Amy Jo gets to spend her time talking and educating about sex in a whole host of environments, helping people to feel more empowered sexually, and making this a more playful and connected world. She has made plays about the vulva and dominatrixes, she has hosted web programs on women’s sexuality, she has taught first graders to college students about sexuality, and has been featured in Betty Dodson videos. She feels pretty fortunate that she gets paid to do this fabulous work. She launched her intensive program for women in 2010, the Women’s Sexuality Empowerment Apprenticeship. It’s a unique opportunity for women to go deep, to explore, and to transform their sexual selves. Currently, she travels to colleges, universities, communities and conferences teaching workshops and speaking about sexuality and maintains a private sex coaching practice. She is co-author of Lesbian Sex Secrets for Men and her article about queer performance artists and activism was published in 2007 in the Social Justice Journal. A professional trainer of sexuality professionals, medical students, college students and youth for fifteen years, she has taught courses relating to sexuality at the City University of New York and the University of California at Santa Barbara. Beverly Dale

The Rev Dr Beverly Dale was the former General Minister and President of the Christian Association at the University of Pennsylvania for 21 years where she focused particularly on women's ministry and helping young adults maneuver through the "hook up culture." An ordained clergy in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) she was received her ministerial training at the Chicago Theological Seminary. She is now an independent consultant on matters of body justice and sexuality. An accomplished artist and the writer and performer of an original one woman show, her work is to facilitate public conversations that examine the erotophobia of our culture and to provide alternatives that are more liberative.  www.beverlydale.org

Ben Silver

Ben is a singer, musician and poly and bi activist who has been in an open primary relationship for 25 years.  He and his partner started a support group for committed non-monogamous relationships in the ‘80s which met monthly for over 15 years.  As a performer, Ben’s music slides through folk, R&B, funk, jazz and back again; he sings about freedom, the environment, LBGT issues, parenting and love.  His writing has been published in “Carry it On,” ”Sing Out” magazine and the book “Hearing Everyone’s Voice.”

Buck

Active member of  Open Love NY and formerly on the Leadership Committee of Poly NYC.   Co-Hosted with honey Donna the Super Massive Cuddle Party for Poly Pride Weekend 2008 and other events.  Member of the 2nd National Polyamorous Leadership Summit Organizing Committee.   In business, Buck is a construction professional working in lower Manhattan.  Helped raise two lovely daughters, who are out of the house and on their own.

Carol Morotti-Meeker, MS,MLSP

Carol is a social scientist and clinical professional in practice near Philadelphia, PA with people involved in polyamorous and other alternative loving styles. She is involved in serving on national poly boards and  a co-editor of a guide to polyamory for therapists through NCSF.

Donna

Active member of  Open Love NY and formerly on the Leadership Committee of Poly NYC.   Food and Decorating Director for 2008 Poly Pride Weekend, Poly NYC Holiday Party, and Co-Hosted with honey Buck the Super Massive Cuddle Party for Poly Pride Weekend 2008 and other fun events.   Member of the 2nd National Polyamorous Leadership Summit Organizing Committee.  In the business community, Donna is an AVP in the financial sector for a company in lower Manhattan, as well as a certified Reiki Master.  Mother of two, grandmother of three.   Organizations or Associations:  Native American Healing Circle, Open Love NY, Polyamorous Leadership Network, Association for Women in Insurance, and Chester Historical Society.

Jens Wennberg

Jens Wennberg is a poly geezer! He is a retired Physician Assistant and spends half the year in Africa teaching about HIV / AIDS treatment. He and his wife/partner have had a responsible non-monogamous relationship for 33 years, and each have long-term relationships lasting over a decade.

Jesus Garcia

Jesus is a native of the San Francisco Bay area who began exploring alternatives to monogamy in 2004. In 2005 he attended his first Loving More Retreat. In September 2006 he was invited to join Loving More’s Board of Directors. He has worked at raising money for many worthy causes and has been a great help as Loving More makes it’s transition to non-profit. He has worked in the computer information technology field since 1995. In college he majored in Biology and Psychology with an emphasis on bio-psychology.

Jim Fleckenstein

Jim Fleckenstein is co-founder of the Institute for 21st Century Relationships, now the Foundation of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF).  A founder and former board chair of the Chesapeake Polyamory Network, he has been a polyamory and open lifestyles activist since 1998, has spoken extensively, including several Poly Living conferences and at Poly Pride in New York City, and has been interviewed on TV and radio.  He holds a bachelor's degree with honors in Mass Communications and Politics and Public Affairs (double major) from the University of Miami, and is pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality.  He is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS).  A recognized expert on polyamory, Jim has been chosen to present on poly-related topics at multiple AASECT and SSSS conferences, and was invited to author the Polyamory section of the U.S. chapter of the Continuum Complete International Encyclopedia of Sexuality.  He is a member of the NCSF Board, and served as co-editor of the 2009 booklet What Psychology Professionals Should Know About Polyamory.  He is currently collaborating with Dr. Curtis Bergstrand on research into the polyamorous community, and analysis of the 2000 Loving More survey.

Ken Haslam, MD

Ken Haslam MD is a retired anesthesiologist and Polyamory Activist for the past 10 years.   He is a founding member of both Unitarian Universalists for Polyamory Awareness and Polyamory Leadership Network and a past member of several boards including Institute for 21^st Century Relationships (ITCR),  Community Academic Consortium for Research in Alternative Sexualities (CARAS), and was recently appointed to the board of Loving More.  He recently established the Kenneth R. Haslam MD Collection of Polyamory archives at the Kinsey Institute, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.   He has presented lectures, sermons, and workshops on Polyamory topics and Aging and Sexuality at Unitarian, Polyamory and Lifestyle events as well as the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

Lee Hencen

Lee has been actively poly for a long time and still has a lover that dates back to high school days!  She specializes in a family style of polyamory, where she has had great success being involved with committed couples with an element of long distance.  Lee has spent many years overcoming her own body issues and developed this workshop to continue her own path to freedom and perhaps help others along the way.  She has presented at Poly Living, Loving More East Coast Retreat and Building Bridges.

Michael Rios

Michael has been creating and living alternative lifestyles and personal growth experiences for 40 years. His favorite social organization principles include guerrilla capitalism and responsible anarchy.  He regularly organizes "New Culture" events aimed at creating a culture based on awareness, compassion and freedom rather than on fear and judgment.

Nancy Miller

Nancy Miller is a nurse midwife with years of professional and personal experience with women’s changing sexuality as they mature. Her own experience is that overall sex has gotten better over the years. We can “use it and not lose it” even as our bodies change. Her current career passion is international work especially involving Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV.

P. Michele Sugg MSW

Michele is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice, and certified sex therapist by The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT.) She is AASECT President-Elect, and a sex therapy advisor to The Alexander Foundation for Women's Health. She specializes in work with polyamorous clients.

Reid Mihalko

Reid, of www.ReidAboutSex.com, helps people create more self-esteem and health in their relationship and sex lives, no matter what their self-expression of those happens to be. Reid has worked with thousands of individuals from myriad walks of life, orientations, relationship styles, countries and religions. Known for his charisma, wit and emphasis on integrity, Reid travels the country teaching, coaching, consulting and collaborating. He has been a writer and producer on a number of films and television projects about sex and relationships, appears regularly in the media, and is currently working with some of Hollywood’s top television show producers to bring polyamory into the mainstream.

Reid has been a featured speaker at dozens of conferences on relationships and sexuality. He has also appeared on the Emmy award-winning talk show Montel, Fox News, VH1’s Scott Baio is 45 and Single, Showtime’s Penn & Teller’s Bulls**t!, Canada’s The Sex Files and SexTV, the short-lived Life & Style, NPR, Sirius’ Maxim Radio and Cosmo Radio, and in Marie Claire, GQ, Details, People, Newsweek and The National Enquirer, as well as media across the globe in thirteen countries and at least seven languages.

Robyn Trask

Robyn is the Executive Director and Editor of Loving More Non-Profit and Magazine since October 2004.  She has been openly polyamorous for 21 years, a mom for 23 years.  Robyn has been running poly support groups, teaching and facilitating relationship and sexuality workshop since 1999. She has done numerous interviews on polyamory for radio, television, newspapers and magazines articles including features in the Denver Post, the Hartford Current, Mom Logic, Boulder Daily Camera, Baisden After Dark on TV One, the Montel Show and Christian Broadcast Network on the 700 Club.    Robyn has worked with the media to bring awareness of polyamory as a viable alternative in today's changing styles of love relationships. She was the Keynote for the Florida Poly Retreat in 2007, featured speaker at Poly Pride in 2006, 2007 and 2008, presented at the 2006 and 2007 Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality Western Conference and has done guest lectures at CU Boulder and Denver University.  Robyn has dedicated the past six years of her life working as a full time volunteer for Loving More and the Polyamory Movement.

Rosella & Alan

Rosella & Alan are a happily married Polyamorous couple. They have been together, in one form or another, for over 15 years, cautiously dipping their toes into the pool of alternative relationship models and sexuality, from the beginning.  Together they organize & host the "Phila. Polyamory and Open Relationship Discussion Group"  and are also founding members / co-organizers of the “Phila Mindful Polyamory Meetup," Both organizations are polyamory education & social groups, which meet regularly and have a combined membership of over 500 people. Throughout the last five years, Alan & Rosella have hosted many polyamory events and facilitated numerous workshops & discussions, both within the Polyamory & Burning Man Communities, as well as at Drexel University.  They currently live in “tribe” within a diverse, self created, economically sustainable, emotionally supportive, relatively organic, intentional community setting which they also own & manage.

Sarah Taub

Sarah uses her training in cognitive science, group facilitation, and transformative practices such as co-counseling and Nonviolent Communication to create powerful experiences for human healing and growth. Her current koan: only when you let go of urgency can you be truly effective.  She regularly organizes "New Culture" events aimed at creating a culture based on love and freedom.

Suzann Robins

Suzann Robins is author of Exploring Intimacy: Cultivating Healthy Relationships through Insight and Intuition and several other articles including a history of Polyamory published in the Journal of Bisexuality. She is an instigator of integrative health care, and loves creating Sustainable Intimate Relationships since the early 1990s.
