This will be the 11th year of the Colorado/Rocky Mountain Poly Family Campout. Join us for a weekend of hiking, playing, and just hanging out with other poly families from the Rocky Mountain Region. This is the one thing each year where the kids get to join in. My kids love the campouts as much, if not more than I do. It is wonderful to enjoy the beauty of the Colorado Mountains and spend time with wonderful poly people. Location: The Meadows Group 2 Campground This year we are back at the Meadows Group Campground which is located 45 miles south of Denver, CO, near the town of Buffalo Creek. The campground is at an elevation of 7400 feet, and temperatures are generally mild. The Buffalo Creek mountain bike area and the Lost Creek Wilderness Area can be accessed from the campground via the Colorado Trail. This is the smaller but more private of the Meadows 2 group sites. There will be an adult only area for camping and an area for families. We all share the group tables and fire ring. It is typically chilly at night and warm during the day and afternoon thunderstorms are common.
